About Me

Full Name:  Diane Goncalves DeLuna

But Please Call Me: Diane

Position: Minister of Administration

Born where and when: Elizabeth, NJ, July 20.  Adopted Hometowns: Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Atlanta, GA - where I would go to go "home".

Family Facts: My mother and father still live in the same house where I grew up in New Jersey; I have 1 younger sister who lives in Houston, TX and 2 cousins with 5 kids who are like my adopted niece and nephews.

Education: BSEE - Florida Institute of Technology;  MSEE - University of California, Irvine;  MBA - Florida Institute of Technology; MABS - Asbury Theological Seminary; Th.M - Columbia Theological Seminary.

How I became a Christian: After my divorce, I was looking for a place to meet nice men, and a friend suggested I try a church.  I went to a Singles' service at Christ Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and met people who loved and accepted me unconditionally - introducing me to Christ in positive ways.  In August of 1992, I asked Christ into my heart and have been growing in Christ ever since.

How I ended up at First Church: After seminary, I was looking for a position in a Church closer to my aging parents.

The most important thing I do around here: Make sure everyone has the resources needed to accomplish their ministry.
