About Me
Full Name: Clair E. Greiner
But Please Call Me: Clair
Position: Bookkeeper
Born where and when: Lancaster, PA - December 3
Family Facts: Married with 4 children and 10 grandchildren (raising 2 of them....).
Education: Hempfield HS; Business Administration, Elizabethtown College; then self-educted with many seminars, reading and experience.
How I became a Christian: S. Clyde Weaver (yes the Weaver meats guy) was the preacher at our church's week of revival meetings. At age eight, I respnded to God's call on my heart while the congregation sang the hymn, "Behold, A Stranger". I still have very vivid images of that event.
How I ended up at First Church: I semi-retired in 1999 from a career in business management, sales and technology (much of it in the construction industry) for the purpose of 'being available' for the raising of two grandchildren who had just been added to our household. With only a letter of interest and mission, I was interviewed by Pastor Kroehler and then administrator, Helen Stitzel. I believe we all felt God's intervention in that interview and I was hired as bookkeeper.
The most important thing I do around here: Encourage staff, volunteers and members in their ministry. Oh yes, I also keep the financial records and systems.

My vision for First Church: is that this 'regional church in the city' who heard God's call to remain and expand in the city will persevere in being and making new disciples of Christ thru neighborhood mission and ministry.
One way people can pray for me is: That He will give me strength, wisdom, and courage as I continue to experience this wonderful adventure with Him.
