UPWARD BASKETBALL- Mid-Season Report!

With a total of 225 kids this year, we can be assured that Upward basketball is definitely fulfilling the mission of the church by growing disciples. We have supported more than 35 children with scholarship money and donations. We have 26 teams, more than 75 volunteers and at least 150 families that pack our gym each week for practices and games. Each Friday night and Saturday through March 20st, you will have the opportunity to come and experience what Upward Basketball is all about. The kids and adults enjoy music, children’s introductions, devotions, concession stand munchies, and oh yes, basketball!   Please come and support the children in Celebration Center. You can still volunteer to be part of the Upward Ministry Team (concession stand, share a devotion) please call Michelle Blazic @ 285-2393.  It’s not too late!

THANK YOU UPWARD SPONSORS

Many of you have offered scholarships to children who needed it. You have given the immeasurable gift of opportunity for children to experience the excitement of serving the Lord through the sport of basketball. So, thank you on behalf of the Upward Leadership Team,

Michelle and Kirk Blazic

Awards Night for Upward Basketball

Our 5th season of Upward Basketball will come to a close with our annual Awards Night on Thursday, March 25, from 6:00-8:30 in the Sanctuary .  It has been another incredible year, with a total of 225 children participating in this unique league, learning so much more than just basketball. This celebration will be the highlight of the entire season and everyone is invited!  Each child will receive an award that has special meaning. This award will serve as a reminder of the Christ-like attitudes and characteristics that each child has learned and experienced throughout the season. Special guest, Seth Franco is back for his third appearance. It is sure to be an exciting, fun night full of high energy, basketball skills and moving testimony. Mark your calendars NOW!
