Discovery Corner’s Summer Camp Offerings 2008!
Because children and families have had such positive responses to Discovery Corner Preschool summer camps, we decided to open our doors to our young “alumni” and/or their siblings*. The first two sessions are open to youngsters who have completed a three year old program to those who may have completed
kindergarten. The final session is appropriate for our youngest campers to our most recent
DCP “grads”.

Come explore science with Ms. Joan! During this week, Ms. Joan will tap into the natural curiosity of young children. Using their five senses, children will participate in scientific investigations and demonstrate basic understanding of scientific inquiry by observing, predicting and classifying objects. Booklets and home learning labs extend camp activities connecting science to every day living. Each day also includes songs, crafts and Bible devotions.
FAIRY TALE THEATER – JUNE 16-21

Lights, camera, action…Ms. Marty presents an all new Fairy Tale Theater! In addition to songs, crafts, and Bible verses, children will learn and perform some fairy tale classics. These are Christian adaptations that teach and demonstrate faith, hope, and reaching out to help others. The session culminates with a sweet and simple production on Friday for families.

Ms. Marty and her little campers will explore a variety of mediums emphasizing water and air movement. On Friday, families are invited to a “Gallery Showing” and live performance of songs learned during the week.
