Ms. Joan and Ms. Dana welcome you to the Pre-K 2 Class!
Ms. Joan, Lead Teacher, has been with Discovery Corner Preschool for 10 years. Ms. Joan is also a Youth Director at her Church. With a total of over twenty-five years in children’s ministries and Preschool programs, Ms. Joan has a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Ms. Joan loves the excitement and enthusiasm the children bring into the classroom each day. With an emphasis on kindergarten readiness, Ms. Joan’s classroom focuses on fully-integrated themes and strives to make each day fun and stimulating for the children.

Ms. Dana, Assistant Teacher, has been with Discovery Corner Preschool for 5 years. In addition to
working at DCP, Ms. Dana volunteers her time as a Sunday School assistant and Cherub Choir assistant at First United Methodist Church. Ms. Dana and her husband have three school-aged sons. Ms. Dana holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design.
Ms. Dana feels passionate about working with children. She loves watching them grow and learn everyday. Ms. Dana takes her role in the PreK class very seriously and strives to help Ms. Joan prepare the class for Kindergarten, both in academics and social skills.

5 Day Program (Mon through Fri) 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. $258/month

9:00 – 9:30 a.m. Free Play and Individual Time with Teachers
9:30 – 10:00 a.m. – Circle Time (Welcome, The Pledge of Allegiance, Weather, Jobs and Weekly Theme
Exploration)
10:00 – 10:15 a.m. – Snack
10:15 – 10:30 a.m. – Story Time
10:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Craft Time
11:00 – 11:40 a.m. – Stations (Math, Manipulatives, Fine Motor Skills, Letters, Science)
11:40 – 12:00 noon – Gym or Outside Time
12:00 – 12:30 p.m. – Lunch
12:30 – 12:45 p.m. – Music and Movement
12:45 – 12:55 p.m. – Devotions
12:55 – 1:00 p.m. – Pack up to go home
