Pre-K 1 Program
Ms. Joy and Ms. Beth welcome you to the Pre–K 1 Class!
Ms. Joy, Lead Teacher, has been with DCP for 2 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lancaster Bible College. Previously, Ms. Joy worked as a Kindergarten teacher in a private school as well as a Lead Preschool Teacher. Ms. Joy and her husband have two school-aged children. Ms. Joy is very active in her church and in her children’s school.
Ms. Joy loves teaching preschoolers and seeing their excitement for learning and life. She considers exploring the Bible with her students to be one of the greatest rewards of her job.

Ms. Beth, Assistant Teacher, served as a Substitute Teacher for DCP before becoming the Two Year Old Assistant Teacher. She has recently moved up to the Pre-K 1 program this year. Ms. Beth holds her Elementary Education Degree from Millersville University and has worked as a Lead Preschool Teacher previously. Ms. Beth also works as a Children’s Craft Coordinator at a local Arts and Crafts Store. She and her husband have two young sons.

9:00 – 10:00 a.m. – Welcome! Child Directed Activities and Centers
10:00 – 10:30 a.m. – Circle Time (Greeting, Calendar, Weather, Flag
March & Bible Lesson)
10:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Craft Project/Centers
11:05 – 11:20 a.m. – Snack and Bathroom Break
11:20 – 11:40 a.m. – Circle Time (movements, activity songs)
11:40 – 12:00 p.m. – Large Motor Play (gym or outside)
12:00 – 12:20 p.m. – Circle Time (Story/Lesson)
12:25 – 12:50 p.m. – Lunch
12:50 – 1:00 p.m. – Books/Puzzles/Pack Up
