First Church Kids is a ministry for infants through 5th grade. Each week children experience exciting Bible stories, music, arts and crafts, and active games all combined into a living faith experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ today.

Following an opening celebration in Room 209 (a time of song, prayer, and offering), children are escorted by their leaders to their designated classrooms.

Children join their parents for the beginning of worship in the Sanctuary.
Following the children's message, children ages 3-5th grade are dismissed to Junior Church.
Qualified nursery care is available at all three worship services.

Safe, nurturing nursery care is available at all three worship services for children from birth through age three. Little ones are cared for by a consistent team of qualified volunteers, led by our nursery coordinator, Beth Bjerklie, who also shares gentle moments of faith with them. Our nursery is conveniently located on the first floor, just off the Gathering Place, providing a welcoming and secure space where children are cared for, and families can worship with peace of mind.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS)
Vacation Bible School is one of the highlights of our year—a fun, high-energy week where children grow in their faith through engaging Bible stories, music, crafts, games, and hands-on activities. Kids love the excitement, friendships, and creativity, while also discovering how much God loves them and how His truth applies to their everyday lives.
VBS creates a welcoming space for children of all backgrounds to belong, learn, and have fun, making it a meaningful and memorable experience they look forward to year after year.

Throughout the year, we host fun, seasonal events that bring our church family together and help us connect with our community. These free, family-friendly gatherings are a great way to invite friends and create lasting memories together.

CHILD SAFETY
In all classes, you'll find trained and cleared volunteers who are excited to connect and engage with your children. Every adult who serves with children goes through an extensive application process and training.
Volunteers are required to complete all Pennsylvania-required clearances, including the Child Abuse History clearance and the PA State Police Criminal check.
