YOUTH SUMMER EVENTS

HERSHEY PARK - SATURDAY, AUGUST 31ST
This Summer the youth will be taking a relaxed schedule. We will be taking a full break during June while Christian travels for out of state volunteer opportunities and vacation.
Youth group will meet as normal in July and August. Look forward to some movie nights and other in-house social events. The youth will also be taking our annual trip to Hershey Park later in the summer, so stay tuned for a proper date in the near future!

LUMINA CHILDREN'S COMMUNITY DAY CAMP
M-F, AUG 5-9TH (10AM -2PM)

Our Children’s Community Day Camp is run by a lively group of volunteers dedicated to providing children with a safe and engaging week of fun and faith, intentionally designed to help kids discover Jesus, develop a sense of belonging, and find that God can give them hope and purpose. Through organized play, music and the arts, and interactive Bible exploration, children (and adults, too!) will grow in their friendship with Jesus and neighbor. This year our theme is “Celebrating the Good News: Start the Party!”
How you can participate:
- Decorate for the party! Weekend of Aug 3-4
- Help kitchen team prepare lunches Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
- Guide small group of children thru stations Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
- Assist station leaders (art, Tanzania mission, active games, Bible Story) M, T, Th, Fr
- Chaperone our field trip Wednesday August 7
- Take photos any day

BLOCK PARTY: A CELEBRATION OF COMMUNITY & COMPASSION
WE ARE UNITED FOOD FESTIVAL
SATURDAY, AUGUST 10TH (2-6PM)
RAIN DATE: AUGUST 17TH
LOCATION: KING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (466 Rockland St., Lancaster)
Join us on August 10th from 2 to 6 PM as we come together for a vibrant block party in the heart of Lancaster City. In partnership with Christ Saves Church, this event promises to be an afternoon filled with joy, connection, and a shared commitment to serving our community.
The festivities will include something for everyone. Prepare to be uplifted by the worship band, powerful preaching and dedicated prayer area. Indulge your taste buds with a variety of food trucks offering delicious treats. Families will delight in the kids' area, complete with raffles, back-to-school items, and an exciting bounce house. Last year's block party was a tremendous success, with Pastor Laura and Pastor Joe lending their support and Brian Close playing with the worship band. The atmosphere was truly uplifting, and we anticipate another unforgettable experience this year!
VOLUNTEER: We're seeking volunteers to help us with setup, assist with activities, or simply spread the word.
DONATE: We need backpacks, school supplies, and gift cards for our raffle.
